Yes. We’d also recommend using either Bio Oil or Coconut Oil in conjunction with the skin needling.
Q.What effects does the Dermaroller have on the skin?
The Dermaroller improves the thickness of the dermis as well as the epidermis. This in return improves skin texture and reduces wrinkles. It also has a positive effect on hyper-pigmentation as well as on hypo-pigmentation. Reduces disfiguring scars & acne scars, stimulates new collagen fibres, improves blood supply and harmonises pigmentation. Microneedling works by stimulation of stem cells and inducing activation of growth factors. The use of Microneedling for hair re-growth in men with AGA.
Q. How does dermaroller work?
Micro needling is to use to break down old scar tissue & to stimulate skin cells to proliferate. This cell multiplication results in the formation of new tissue layers of elastin and collagen fibres (neo-collagenesis) as well as in new capillaries for an improved blood supply (neo-angiogenesis). The procedures are called Scar Reduction Therapy (SRT) & Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT).
This penetration does not hurt or damage the skin: what it does do is to gently open the pores of the outer layer of skin, creating a series of micro-channels as it does so.This acts as a trigger for the body to stimulate the skin into healing this ‘damage’. The skin produces two proteins called collagen and elastin which help to repair the skin. They improve blood flow to the skin as well as produce new skin cells which cause a new layer of skin to form.
Q. What can you treat with a dermaroller?
Dermaroller is used to treat a range of skin conditions which include the signs of ageing (lines and wrinkles), sun damage, acne scars, stretch marks and cellulite removal. It can also compliment a hair loss programme of treatment.
